You won’t find a great deal of overhead lighting at night, no backlit commercial signage, and no speed limits over 30 mph. “The Woodlands Course” is the work of architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. and was built in 1982. This course exhibits beautiful bunkering and elevated greens and emphasies creative play around the greens. Regular tees for the course measure 6,068 yards. Accuracy off the tee is essential to playing well at the Woodlands course. The course weaves its way through a mix of old Lodge pole and Ponderosa Pines. The isolation created by the trees gives the golfer a sense of solitude. The Woodlands is built on rolling terrain and water comes into play on seven holes.
“The Meadows Course” features seven holes that border the meandering Sun River. It is a wonderful course to play. With four sets of tees the Meadows Course has something for everyone. The course begins at the Sunriver Lodge and winds its way along the meadows and groves of Ponderosa Pines, demanding precise approach shots to elevated greens. The Meadows Course rewards accurate hitters and those with a good read on the fast, challenging greens.
