Mt. Bachelor Season Pass 2007

bachelo-with-stream-small.jpgMt. Bachelor season passes went on sale September 1.  It is hard to believe that ski season is so close.  I am not a skier but I have a lot of clients that are.  This year I am spending some time getting myself into better physical shape than I have been in the past.  Who knows maybe next year I will take a lesson or two.

Mt. Bachelor has a new General Manager this year and has already posted prices for the season.  There are several types of lessons for the skier or the snowboarder alike.

Sunriver offers a couple of great choices for equipment rental and purchases.  Be sure to check out the Village Bike & Ski Shop or 4 Seasons both shops have very knowledgeable folks working them and are very pleasant to work with.

Getting to Mt Bachelor from Sunriver this year should be better than the last several years as the road has had a complete upgrade.  If you are staying at with Sunriver Resort there is shuttle service available to the mountain.

If you are a skier that frequents the mountain a season pass may be the way to go.  Not only do you not have to worry about paying as you go but you will receive the following discounts.

• 20% off tickets at Powdr Resorts
• 10% off tune-ups
• 10% off SnowBlast Tubing Park tickets
• 10% off logo items in Bachelor Ski and Sport
• 10% off Pinnacles drinks
• 10% off entrees at Carver’s
• 10% off rentals
• 10% off demos
• 10% off midweek daycare

If you are an avid skier you will find that Joanne Hanson of Summit County Colorado’s post about skiing in Colorado interesting here is a little about what she had to say about their upcoming ski season.

“It is time to buy season passes to Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain and Arapahoe Basin.  It is also a time when we anxiously await the equipment reviews in Ski magazine, the ski swap announcements, the Labor Day tent sales and Sports Authority’s  Sniagrab sale.  We watch the weather forecast closely, hoping that it will get cold enough to snow, and every morning we check the peaks for traces of white stuff.”
