Three Rivers South

About Three Rivers South

The area between Sunriver and La Pine also known as South Bend or Three Rivers South. Lot sizes range from about 1/2 acre to an acre to multiple acres. There are many larger homes some on the river with a few having their own private docks.

At 4100 feet in elevation it has the beauty of all seasons. This beautiful area is home to the Little and Big Deschutes Rivers and Fall Rivers running through it along with the High Mountain Valley surrounding it.

Fall River Estates

A community which Fall River runs through. Fall River is a beautiful spring-fed stream flowing through rolling pine forests. It is open to fly fishing only. Clear and cold it springs from the ground about two miles northwest of Pringle Falls and winds its way through Fall River Estate and northeast to join the Deschutes River. Fall River is an outstanding contributor of brown trout to the Deschutes River and provides excellent winter habitat for numerous species. Its pristine water supports a productive hatchery and contributes invaluable water quality to the Deschutes. Legal size brook and rainbow trout, stocked several times a year, merge with the naturally reproducing brook, brown and rainbow trout.  The Fall River averages 25-50 feet across. National Forest land borders half of Fall River ‘s 8 miles.

Neighborhoods

The Little Deschutes River flow 91 miles from its headwaters in Miller Lake in Klamath County to the Big Deschutes River about 15 miles South of Bend. This River has adjoining home-sites located in Crosswater, Vandevert Ranch, Oregon Water Wonderland and Lazy River – connecting near Harper’s Bridge to The Big Deschutes and Spring River which flows through Spring River Estates.

Deschutes River Recreation opportunities include more than the most popular of fishing, canoeing and rafting. There are 14 National Forest Campgrounds in addition to the La Pine State Recreation area.

There are many developed trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding. Only 20% of the Deschutes River flows through private land so there are many opportunities for enjoyment of the River by all.

Other areas of interest in the vicinity include Benham Falls, Cascade Lakes Highway, Lava Lands and the High Desert Museum.
