Central Oregon Fishing Showing a Great Result

mr-brown.jpgOne of the glorious things of being a REALTOR® in Central Oregon is living in Central Oregon. I love the area in which I live and try to enjoy it as often as I can. My husband and I enjoy loading up our 7 month old Black Lab and heading to a lake or river. Max (the dog) is easily occupied with a ball and the water. Tonight was no different than many other nights for us, after a long day we loaded up and drove the 10 miles to Wickiup Reservoir.

As we pulled into the boat ramp across the road from South Twin (on the Deschutes Chanel) we noticed a man carrying a very large fish. Being the outgoing person I tend to be, I had to ask about his fish. Mr. Brown was an interesting man, in the short time I spent with him, I discovered he and his family were natives to our area.

His kin folk had settled in the La Pine area years ago, Mr. Brown is a graduate of Bend SR. High and was in the first graduating class. I was in the first graduating class of La Pine High. We both have a passion for our area, his kin have some great landmarks named after them, Browns Crossing and Brown’s Mountain, both are well known and beautiful landmarks of our area.

I asked Mr. Brown if he was going to have his trophy catch mounted, he honestly and humbly said, nah I am saving that for the 20 pounder.

Even if you are not ready to do some fishing Wickiup is a beautiful area that people with all types of interest enjoy.
